Engineering en technology

Based on years of experience in a wide variety of projects and driven by technological innovations, Gröninger Cleaning Systems has developed different technical construction and assembly techniques for cleaning systems, like traditional, pack, skids and frames and in containers.
The best construction method and technical approach is determined case by case. Apart from Gröninger's advice, the input from the client is of utmost importance in the decision process. Gröninger installations can be built using the traditional construction method. However also the modular construction method in so-called 'Packs' is applied. This approach is under continuous development since the introduction in 2000. Gröninger is also very familiar with constructions on skids and frames. All methods can be combined with the building in containers or on flats.
The selected construction method determines the level of 'plug-and-play' of the installation. However, in all cases the effectiveness, durability and reliability of the installation meets Gröninger's strict technical and engineering requirements.

Traditional construction
In the traditional construction method the installation is predominantly assembled on the construction site itself. In this construction method the pumps are assembled by mounting them on stainless steel foundation plates which are usually placed on a concrete floor and/or foundation. The piping and other elements of the installation are installed and integrated around the pumps. This construction method offers some important advantages:
- Plenty of space is available for easy service and maintenance activities
- Good visual overview on the system and technology applied
- Impressive and professional looks

Modular construction in 'Packs'
Since 2000 Gröninger has developed a modular construction method in so called 'Packs'. Since then dozens of installations have been built based on this new and very successful principle. Building an installation in 'Packs' offers some essential advantages:
- Based on a standardized technical concept many different configurations can be built, customized to the client's request and requirements as well as the local infrastructure
- The compact method of construction reduces the on site installation cost
- The modular construction method takes considerably less space
- The biggest advantage is that the packs are designed, engineered and manufactured in-house and fully tested before shipment
The modular Pack system offers numerous possibilities, e.g.:
- Water softening pack: integrated water softener
- Cleanpack: centrifugal or piston pump set with heat exchangers and control cabinets
- Drypack: tank dryer and accessories
- Chempack: cleaning detergent storage and dosing system
- Foampack: foam system for exterior cleaning
- Steampack: installation for steaming, cleaning and heating
- Spraygunpack: spray guns and accessories
- CIP Pack: low pressure cleaning system (Cleaning In Place)

Construction on skids or in frames
For relatively small installations that have to be integrated with existing systems it is often the best solution to mount the equipment on skids or frames. Examples of this approach are the Gröninger rensins cleaner or the stacked spray gun pack.
Construction in containers
More and more frequently cleaning systems are built inside sea containers or on so-called flats. Often this approach is combined with the modular construction method in packs. This construction method has some key advantages:
- Many different configurations can be assembled based on a standardized technical concept
- There is no need for a separate technical room
- This method requires a minimum amount of space
- The installation is completely built and tested at our premises in Schiedam before shipment
- On site only the connections with the utilities and a minimal amount of piping are needed
